Responsibility:
- Prepare month-end closing and financial statements, profit and loss statements and balance sheet.
- Perform analysis and reporting of management accounts to ensure timely delivery of high quality and accurate financial data.
- Review and ensure that all financial information is updated timely and accurately into the accounting system.
- Monitor and plan cash flow positions.
- Review of debtors/ creditors ageing timely.
- Prepare and present financial performance and critical issues bearing financial implications to the management including of group’s subsidiaries financial and operating issues.
- Assist in handling all the financial reporting matters and carry out high quality account, audit & tax assignments with minimum supervision
- Ensure account, audit & tax assignment progress and meet the deadlines
- Responsible for the submission of statutory accounts and tax submissions, liaising with the external auditors and tax agents.
- Responsible for reviewing, updating and implementing existing internal accounting systems SQL
- Prepare annual budget and forecast.
- Support the Director to plan, develop and execute financial strategy in line with overall company strategy.
- Establish/ improve Standard Operating Procedure when the Finance team is expanding. Plan, coordinate and execute accounting jobs
- Request acc staff headcount and involve in interview if necessary
- Supervising junior staff
- Reviewing journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy
- Assisting with financial and tax audits
- Training and mentoring junior staff
- Develop and implement policies and procedures with emphasis on internal controls
- Perform special task or assignment or any other work assigned by the Management as and when required.
Requirements:-
- At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Strong negotiating/influencing skills
- Demonstrated cross-functional team leadership skills
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Professional Qualifications or equivalent.
- Experience in the FMCG field is added advantage
- Required language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia speaking
- It will have advantage if know Mandarin speaking
- The company is a 2 years startup company which required someone competence in the relevant responsibilities.
