Job Description
- Ensure compliance of corporate financial policy and procedures, with applicable standards and statutory requirements that aligns to the corporate goals to support the business.
- Identify improvements and opportunities on the company’s financial situation that will result in greater efficiency and effectiveness, considering both short- and long-term goals.
- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and develop strategies with a form of framework design that will shape the success of meeting the targeted goals.
- Check & verify all billing, collection & recon to control account receivables while monitoring long outstanding debts & fraudulent to be taken necessary action to diminish credit risk.
- Perform monthly P&L forecasting, monitoring, highlighting and suggesting advice/solutions including improvements when variances are expected to exceed the threshold. Perform month-end finance closing, including passing of journal entries, review costing, prepare management report and variance analysis that compares against forecast and budget.
- Ensure compliances with bank covenants and tax requirements, including Malaysia GST, withholding taxes and custom duties.
- Ensure compliance of accounting policies, internal & external control
- Assist in liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, government authorities & bankers
- Income tax submission & compliance of tax regulation, knowledge of SST Malaysia & withholding tax
- Analyse of changes of interest, cashflow, to identify favourable and adverse of finance and banking while liaising with respectful banker & investment agents to maximise company interest.
7. Account holder for subsidiary companies in managing tenancy and
reporting.
8. Advisor on projects and in related to government grants application.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or Master in Finance, Accountancy, ACCA, CIMA, LCCI or related field.
- Experience in Management Accounting, Finance reports,
- At least more than 5 to 7 years of related working experience in Finance, Accounting.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, financial planning software and SAP will be an added advantage.
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proactive, meticulous, good analytical & interpersonal communication skills
- Multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise tasks & able to work under pressure & tight deadline
